Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to buy a guitar?
It’s best if you own a guitar for daily practice. However, I’m happy to loan one of mine during private lessons.
Do I need to bring an amp to lessons?
No, I have you covered. Unless you want to play through your amplifier.
How much do I need to practice between lessons?
The more consistently you practice, the faster you will improve. I recommend starting at 10-20 minutes per day rather than an hour here or there. Consistent, deliberate practice is the key to success.
Does my parent need to hang around during the lesson?
Nope, but I do ask that you are prompt arriving and departing from lessons on time.
Should I be nervous?
What’s there to be nervous about? We’re going to have a blast! I’m passionate about guitar and bring that to every practice.
What do I need for lessons?
Bring your guitar, a tuner (if you have one), songs you’re interested in learning and a positive attitude.
